A Pay Super authoriser is someone who can authorise super payments for your business. Once you've set up Pay Super, you can add other people to authorise super payments via the settings menu (⚙️) > Payroll settings > Superannuation payments tab.
Only Pay Super Administrators can add authorisers
When Pay Super was set up for your business, one or more Pay Super Administrators were nominated. More about Pay Super roles
If you need to add an authoriser but can't access your Pay Super settings, ask the file owner to check your Pay Super access.
If no-one in your business can change these settings, contact us.
Before adding an authoriser
-
Only Pay Super Administrators can add authorisers
-
The person you add must first be invited to your MYOB file
-
Authorisers need a mobile phone number to receive authorisation codes (the authoriser will be prompted to verify their number after you add them)
Add Pay Super authorisers in your payroll settings
Sign into MYOB Business as a Pay Super Administrator.
Go to the settings menu (⚙️ ) > Payroll settings.
Click the Superannuation payments tab.
Under Pay Super roles, choose the person you want to add. They must have been invited to your file to be chosen here.
Choose the person's Role. To authorise super payments they must have the role of Authoriser or Pay Super Administrator. More about roles
Enter the person's Mobile number. This is needed to receive authorisation codes via SMS when authorising super payments.
Choose how many authorisers need to authorise each super payment. Only choose two if you require any two Pay Super Administrators or Authorisers to authorise each super payment.
Click Save.
An email is sent to the new authoriser to verify their mobile number. So when you add them, get the person to check their email to start the verification process.
